Belton ISD hires key personnel, renames Waskow High School

BELTON — The Belton school board approved the hiring of three people to key positions during its regular meeting Monday night — two principals and a program director.

Miller Heights Elementary School Principal Tammy Becker is "climbing to new heights" — her current school's motto — to serve as the first principal of South Belton Middle School, which is set to open next August.

Becker will continue as principal at Miller Heights until a replacement has been hired. She has 18 years of experience as an educator.
