Dozens of people waited in line in Belton Saturday morning for a chance to enroll their children at Belton's New Tech High School, opening this fall.
The school will feature a non-traditional teaching style, with laptop computers assigned to every student.
Since admission is limited to 125 incoming freshman, only the first 60 people in line were guaranteed a slot.
Luis Rendon III showed up at 9:30 the night before to make sure he got in.
"The reason that I really want to go is because I like project-based learning and how it won't just be like where you're crowded, and at least everybody will know you. So you'll be able to connect with your teammates and have that stronger connection with them," he said.
