Holland Public Schools hosts superintendents, national officials

Dozens of school district superintendents are at Holland Public Schools’ New Tech High School today for a demonstration of how the new type of school works.

The event is scheduled to take place from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. today with speeches from Holland Superintendent Brian Davis, New Tech Principal Bryan Voss, and student-led tours. A regional official from the national New Tech Network will also speak.

At New Tech, students learn through project-based work with extensive access to technology. The model is designed to curb absenteeism and discipline referrals, and boost test scores
