Things are starting to heat up as the Meridian Public School prepares for onset of the much awaited New Tech School this fall.
"Things are very busy here," said Craig Carmoney, superintendent of Meridian Public Schools. "The rooms are being painted in some very welcoming colors, wireless is being run through the school, and we are all very excited for this fall to begin."
Although the New Tech School, which costs $2.2 million and will present each incoming freshmen with a laptop computer, seems to be the area of focus for the district, there have also been some interesting developments in other areas of education.
"We are going to be very intentional in using technology in the classroom," said Carmoney.
