Tyler principal to head New Tech

Adrian Vega, principal of Boulter Middle School in Tyler, was unanimously approved Tuesday evening as the first principal of the Ector County Independent School District’s New Tech High School.

New Tech High will open in August in half of the Advanced Technical Center building.

Boulter uses project-based learning campus wide, Randy Talley, ECISD assistant superintendent for special projects, said. Small group projects are a focus at New Tech, which has 62 campuses in 14 states.
