School Profile:
The mission of Bogalusa New Tech High is to prepare all students to excel in an information-based, technologically advanced society. Students learn through projects, acquire 21st-century skills including technological fluency, and thrive in a culture of trust, respect and responsibility.
Students learn through challenging projects modeled after real-world scenarios. They use the internet and computers daily to create presentations, build websites, research and collaborate with their peers. By graduation, they understand teamwork, can identify and solve problems, take responsibility for their own learning and adapt to new environments. Internships with local businesses further contribute to students’ preparedness for the modern workplace.
Our small size helps us foster a tight-knit, collaborative culture where students are given significant responsibility, much as they might have in a professional workplace. Staff and peers know students by their names, and students are valued for their contributions.
