In the fall of 2011, Eagle Tech Academy (ETA) opened its doors for its inaugural class. Starting with a 9th grade cohort group, ETA will grow each year as additional students and staff embark on a new educational experience in Whitley County, Indiana.
Due to the support of the Talent Initiative, Eagle Tech Academy will be a STEM school that stresses the importance of both content knowledge and the 21st Century Skills. Eagle Tech Students will spend their day in a separate facility, immersed in a rich PBL environment, and supported by culture of learning that engages authentic learning. Students will experience real-world learning opportunities, facilitated by highly qualified teachers, and influenced by regional businesses and community partners.
All ETA graduates fulfill state requirements for Core 40, Academic Honors, or Technical Honors diploma. Students also can receive college credit through various Dual Credit and Advanced Placement opportunities. Students will also be encouraged to gain valuable work experience through internship opportunities.
