School Profile:
New Tech High School is a new school of choice for all students within Dallas Independent School District. In the 2011-12 the newly remodeled campus of A Maceo High School will re-open its doors for 150 freshmen, who will become the first graduation class of 2015.
AMSNTHS will offer a supportive learning environment with small class-sizes and interdisciplinary courses. The curriculum will focus on skills such as teamwork, writing, research, critical thinking as well as a professional orientation and strong work-ethic. The project-based learning curriculum, based on the New Tech Network model [link “New Tech Network model” to Our model, About page] is aligned with National standards and Advanced Placement testing.
Classroom learning will be enhanced through partnerships with local universities and colleges and businesses. As a result of working with these partner institutions, students will develop ideas and relationships that will guide them into their academic futures and/or their careers.
